To all Women on this special day,
I’m sorry that the first thing I notice about you is your clothing, the color you chose to paint your lips and shoes that don’t always feel so comfortable. I’m sorry for judging you from the little information that I heard about you from someone else.
There is this unspoken battle between woman and woman, that makes us compare ourselves instead of praising one another. I’ve been here for two decades and in those years I’ve come to learn that my battle isn’t with women. I have a much bigger battle to fight.
There’s so much more I could say but I’ll stop here with one of my favorite piece.
we all move forward when
we recognize how resilient
and striking the women
around us are
